Listened to the set in headphones,
and worked on the computer 'til early morning.
Went down and ate hotel breakfast before finally going to sleep.
Cancelled the cleaning lady
and chilled out in my room 'til early afternoon.

The orchestra has arrived.
Rehearsing the Steve Reich piece
they're gonna performing tonight.

Photobucket

The concept of the event this evening
is a hybrid between contemporary classical
and electronic music.

Photobucket

And the theme for tonight's alchemical marriage
between these two beautiful, contrasts
and seeming opposites
is the element which stands perfectly inbetween the two:
The human / celestial Voice.

We layed back and chilled out
as the orchestra went through each section
of their pieces meticulously carefully.
It's going to be no less than an enchanted night.

Friday.
I fly to Paris to meet up with Solar Fields,
then switch to connecting flights
to join the rest of the family;
Aes Dana, Huva Network and the Ultimae team
for a gig in a beautiful church
on the countryside of Mulhouse, France.

We arrive early evening.
Quick check in at the hotel.
Outside the soft dark falls.
Mulhouse is lush with green pastures
over spoungy hills
and known for the white wine
they make in the area.

Stage and lighting pretty much done already.
The crew is putting together the last bits and pieces.

One film screen in the back of the main hall...

...and one behind the stage.

Engineer going through channels,
preparing for soundcheck.

Magnus setting up his gear,
jacking in and booting up...

...while i test ride the mic
and bliss out at the natural echoe
of high ceilings and old stone walls.

Tomorrow folks arrive.
Some from afar, travelling from nearby countries.
The responsibles are worrying about long queues
and people not getting in due to limited space.
Tickets sold out fast.
